BAPTISIA TINCTORIA

Indications: B Jain?s Baptisia is indicated in cases of low fevers and septic conditions of the blood such as in typhoid fever and malaria. Indications for this remedy include soreness of muscles and marked putridity.

Mind: Unable to think, confusion. Illusion of a divided personality, thinks they are divided or double. Delirious with desire to get parts of themselves together with muttering. Indifference, falls asleep when being spoken to. Stupor with melancholia.

Head: Vertigo with pressure at the nose, forehead feels tight with skin drawn back on it. Heaviness and numbness of the head. Sore eyeballs. Heaviness of eyelids.

Face: Appears to be intoxicated, red face. Muscles of the jaw feel rigid.

Mouth: Bitter taste in the mouth with sore gums and teeth. Fetid halitosis. Tongue appears yellowish brown, as if burnt with red edges. Dry and brown tongue in the center with glistening edges. Cracked tongue with soreness. Can swallow liquids only, unable to eat food, it is gagged out.

Throat: Swollen throat with redness, feels constricted, difficulty in swallowing solids. Painless sore throat with offensive discharge.

Abdomen: Distention and rumbling of abdomen, soreness over the right side with diarrhea. Vomit due to spasms, lack of appetite with fever. Constant desire for water, sinking in abdomen. Sensation of a hard substance lodged in the abdomen. Inflammation.

Stool: Very offensive stools, think, dark and bloody. Dysentery in old people, soreness.

Respiratory: Lungs feel compressed causing difficulty in breathing, desire for open air. Fear of nightmares of suffocation.

Extremities: Sore and bruised feeling all over the body. Desire to lie down.

Sleep: Sleeplessness with restlessness. Nightmares, feeling of being scattered all over the bed. Falls asleep while answering.

Fever: Chills with pain and soreness all over the body. Heat with chills around 11am.

Skin: Red spots over the body, like rose spots. Burning skin with heat. Putrid skin diseases.

Worse from humidity, heat, fog and indoors.
